Location: Camden Park House, London | Hours: 37.5 per week | Contract: 3–6 months | Salary: £32,110 (£16.47/hr)
Are you an experienced mental health professional ready to take on a leadership role with real responsibility? NursLink is recruiting a Deputy Manager / Team Manager in London to manage a registered care home supporting 10 clients with mental health needs during a decommissioning period.
You will lead a team of 3 permanent and 4 casual staff, ensuring smooth client transitions, maintaining compliance with regulations, and providing guidance and support to your team. This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone confident in managing operations, supporting staff, and working closely with clients.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
-
Line manage staff, including supervision, performance reviews, and rotas

Lead team meetings and promote best practices in person-centred care
-
Support and guide staff in medication administration, audits, and competency checks
Service Oversight & Compliance
-
Maintain CQC compliance, safeguarding, MCA/DoLS, and health & safety standards

Manage care plans, risk assessments, and case management tasks

Respond promptly and accurately to incidents and safeguarding concerns

Liaise with commissioners and stakeholders to ensure smooth client transitions
Operational & Administrative Duties

Oversee daily care home operations, acting as Deputy Manager in the Registered Manager’s absence

Manage budgets, reporting, and essential documentation

Ensure all service delivery and staff practices meet quality and regulatory standards
Required Experience & Skills
-
Mental health care experience with strong understanding of person-centred support

Proven experience in medication management and audits

Leadership and line management experience, supervising multi-disciplinary teams

Knowledge of CQC compliance, safeguarding, risk assessments, and MCA/DoLS

Experience in case management and coordinating client transitions

Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills

Ability to work under pressure while maintaining empathy, accountability, and problem-solving
