What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll provide frontline support to individuals with mental health needs, helping to promote safety, dignity, and wellbeing throughout the day.
In this role, you will:
Support Work Duties
- Provide day-to-day support to individuals within a mental health setting
- Encourage engagement in daily routines and activities
- Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
- Follow care plans and report any concerns to senior staff
Practical / Environmental Duties
- Support with general cleaning duties to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
- Ensure communal areas are kept clean and well-maintained
- Contribute to infection control and hygiene standards within the service
Safeguarding & Teamwork
- Follow safeguarding procedures at all times
- Work closely with the wider care team
- Report incidents or concerns appropriately
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for reliable, experienced support workers who are confident working in mental health settings and are happy to be flexible in their duties.
You will:
- Have experience in mental health support work
- Hold valid Breakaway training (essential)
- Be calm, professional, and resilient in challenging situations
- Be willing to support with cleaning and environmental duties as required
- Be a team player with good communication skills
- Have an Enhanced DBS (preferred / can be processed if needed depending on arrangement)
