NursLink is looking for a Senior Care Officer to lead a motivated team delivering high-quality, person-centred care within an Extra Care Scheme. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the team, influence service delivery, and make a real difference to both colleagues and customers.
This office-based leadership role combines team management, rostering, service compliance, and direct customer support to ensure care is delivered safely, effectively, and in line with CQC standards and Riverside policies.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Support
-
Create a positive, open, and supportive environment for colleagues
-
Conduct regular supervisions and observe Care Assistants in practice
-
Coach, mentor, and upskill team members to maintain high standards
-
Lead team meetings to share updates, feedback, and best practice
-
Recognise and celebrate achievements, providing constructive feedback

Build strong partnerships across Riverside and contribute to wider initiatives
Service Oversight
-
Support managers in delivering services in line with CQC and contractual requirements

Act as a point of contact for staff and customers
-
Ensure safe administration and management of medication
-
Monitor health & safety compliance and report any risks
-
Oversee rostering to ensure all shifts are covered

Support achievement of KPIs and performance targets

Make referrals to Social Services or Occupational Therapists when needed
Customer Support

Supervise the team in delivering person-centred care

Provide direct care when required

Assess care and support needs in consultation with relevant agencies

Review care plans every six months and track monthly KPIs

Maintain regular contact with customers, responding to emergencies and evaluating welfare needs

Incorporate customer feedback into service design and delivery
Requirements
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a care role (essential)

Health and Social Care qualification (desirable)
-
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
-
Flexible approach to work, including alternate weekends and out-of-hours
