Are you an experienced Building Surveyor, Repairs Surveyor or Property Surveyor looking for your next contract opportunity?
We’re recruiting a Leasehold Asset Services Surveyor to join a leading social housing organisation on an approximately 2-month temporary assignment based in Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a busy Asset Services team, carrying out property inspections, diagnosing building defects and helping deliver high-quality housing services across the North. The ideal candidate will have their own vehicle and enjoy visiting sites across North West England each week.

Your Role
As a Leasehold Asset Services Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality surveying services across the region, supporting customers and colleagues while ensuring repairs and maintenance are completed to the highest standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out inspections relating to complex repairs, maintenance issues and building defects
- Investigating escalated repairs and customer complaints, recommending effective solutions
- Managing leaseholder requests for property alterations and advising on repair responsibilities
- Supporting stock condition surveying and asset management activities
- Working closely with in-house repairs contractors to resolve complex cases
- Producing reports, surveys and technical recommendations
- Helping improve customer satisfaction through proactive problem-solving and excellent service delivery
What You’ll Need
- Experience as a Building Surveyor, Repairs Surveyor, Property Surveyor or Asset Surveyor
- Experience within social housing, housing associations, property maintenance or repairs
- Strong knowledge of building defects, repairs and maintenance
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage your own workload and work independently
- Strong report writing and IT skills
- A proactive, solution-focused approach with excellent attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle
Desirable
- Experience of stock condition surveying
- Knowledge of leasehold properties and leaseholder responsibilities
- HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying, Construction or a related discipline
- Experience working with housing management or asset management teams
Working Pattern
- Hybrid working model
- First day office-based in Liverpool for onboarding and IT setup
- Approximately one office day per week thereafter
- Site inspections across Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Northampton and Carlisle, with most work focused around Liverpool and Manchester
- Travel to site expected up to four days per week
